THE CAMERAS
In this photo study I analyzed the presence of external security cameras in my hometown. During my excursions, I discovered two compelling observations:
- The objects security cameras most often point at is dumpsters, to prevent illegal waste disposal.
- The locations with the greatest quantities of security cameras is gas stations.
I found it ironic the two locations society needs to monitor the heaviest were those that had negative environmental impacts, such as waste pollution and natural resource consumption - issues humans tend to overlook. I constructed the above collages as a commentary.
